Nigel Bird is an English artist born in 1959; today he lives and works in the South of France.
He graduated from the Loughborough College of Art and Design in sculpture and engraving, and taught Beaux-Arts for many years in the South of England.
Nigel Bird mainly realizes artworks in white and black with pastel, charcoal and China ink on large format paper, he gets inspired by nature, with a strong interest in space and scale issues and geological shapes. Niel Bird regularly likes returning to the same places to observe the impact of time and season on a same landscape. He also uses the noises of his natural environment to realize his drawings: the sound of the birds, the rain against a window...
Nigel Brid artworks have been exhibited during the London Art Fair in 2012 and 2013, and at the Works on Paper exhibition of the Science Museum of London in 2013.
