Presentation

Day-z is an artist born in London, graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Central St Martins.

Using a pencil as her favorite tool, she skillfully portrays contemporary socio-political issues. Her realistic style has been known for bringing back to life the tastes of Jimi Hendrix, Audrey Hepburn and Tupac Shakur.

Day-z has a natural capacity for creating spiritual and entreteining works that merge with street art. By using techniques of the old masters, Day-z gives an academic finish to contemporary and urban pieces that ask for attention and attract the eye.

Many of her ideas are about fashion, brands and advertising which she uses to reflect our own culture with a mixture of imagination, dexterity and subtle humor.

The influence of Cindy Sherman, Alison Jackson and Banksy can be detected all thoughout her works, they are obvious in her subjects of exploration and the social commentaries she adds to her works. She explores the perceptions of culture, current celebrities and sex.
