He studied at the School of Visual Arts, at the National Academy of Desgin and at the Water Street Workshop - A renowned institution dedicated to pictorial realism techniques. He currently teaches drawing at the Grand Central Academy of New York.
Tony Curanaj is known for his classical inspiration figurative paintings, although he actively began on the graffiti scene in New York, under the pseudonym "SUB", as the creator of the "D.F." crew. He has recently presented exhibitions at the Joshua Liner Gallery in New York (2015 and 2014) and at the 1261 Gallery in Denver (2015). He was also the subject of an article in the Huffington Post magazine in November 2015.
