Akiza: The Gallery will remain a stencil all summer long by extending the major exhibition [STeNCiLiSeMS] into three solo exhibitions, three spotlights on artists who have touched us and for whom development was needed. The choice was difficult ... We finally selected a French, an American and a couple of Brazilians. Summer of Stencils • 1: "Smokers & Dancers" with Zapata. Rénald Zapata painter, performer and French street artist made his first performances in the early 90s. First group exhibitions from 1995, first solo exhibition in 1996 for the L'Estival festival. From the 2000s, his activity as a performer painter became recognized and growing: Rénald Zapata was asked to produce pictorial shows on the occasion of many events: concerts, shows, festivals. He will thus realize the portraits of very many personalities, in France and abroad. In the studio or in the street, her favorite themes are music, dance, cinema and smokers.
