Presentation

French artist Florian Marco was born in Villeurbanne in 1981. Today, he splits his time between Paris and the French Alps.

He uses his brushes to tackle the twin themes of nature and time. Light plays a central and fundamental role in his work, both structuring and imparting hierarchy to his paintings. The interplay he achieves between light and shade leads the paint on an amorous, sensual and languid dance. The substance moves and shifts over the course of this courtship ritual… naturally, effortlessly.
It was while he was passing through Florence in Italy that Florian Marco decided to introduce the figure of the ghost into his work. Having been invited to take part in an open-air happening, he was seeking first and foremost to capture the attention of passers-by. The figure of the ghost seemed to him the best way of achieving this end when working on a massive scale.

Florian Marco regularly exhibits his work in France and Italy.
