Nicolas Panayotou, born in 1973 in Thessaloniki, Greece, lives and works in Paris.
Trained at the École du Louvre and the Sorbonne (Master's degree in Fine Arts), Nicolas Panayotou has been exploring the possibilities of painting through optical and kinetic art for over twenty-five years.
His works, entirely hand-painted using a process he calls "the digital hand," rival the precision of airbrushing and digital imaging. He composes kaleidoscopic spaces where regular lines, subtle gradations, and chromatic vibrations unfold, offering the viewer the illusion of movement.
In his series, such as the Pinacothèques, he blends classical references and primordial geometric forms with contemporary pictorial techniques, creating hypnotic universes where trajectories and colors become fields of thought. Her approach builds a bridge between legacies of the past and projections into the future, between external perception and sensitive inner experience.
Her work has been exhibited in France and internationally (Paris, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Doha, Mykonos, Athens, etc.), and has been commissioned by public bodies, including a monumental mural in the 13th arrondissement of Paris in 2025.
