For two decades, L'Atlas (real name Jules Dedet Granel) has shown the past through the prism of the present, bringing numerous artistic movements into free dialogue. The Atlas pursues a quest through the infinite variations of lines, squares and rectangles. Born in 1978 in Toulouse, Jules began tagging in the streets of Paris in 1990. Rather than moving towards a figurative style, he became fascinated by letters. Jules also frequents film sets thanks to her parents who work for renowned French directors. He then discovered gaffer, a very sticky, durable and easy-to-cut adhesive tape, which quickly became his favorite material.
