Presentation

The taste for painting is generally born during early youth. Life and the vicissitudes of daily life then allow him, or not, to express himself.

Christine Beaufils is no exception to the rule. A first approach through painting on silk will quickly make him understand that, failing to acquire the basic techniques, it will be difficult for him to persevere in this discipline. It is therefore in contact with Denis Chéret, a painter from Clermont with particularly high standards, that she will make her debut, an appropriate term being exclusively a knife technique.

Since then, Christine Beaufils has been able to play with shapes and colors, give consistency to imaginary worlds, travel in space through her paintings. His still lifes are sometimes the faithful reflection of a pregnant reality, sometimes the transcended representation of an image whose sole function consists in offering support to the gaze. The bouquets show here different floral species, elsewhere the abundance of colors that correspond to them. Between the aesthetics of a beautifully prepared staging and the impressions caused by this same vision, the artist chooses not to lock himself in a school and multiplies experiences and proposals.

His paintings always tell stories in which everyone can find their way.
