Alain Boullet was born in 1935 in Vierzon, in the countryside of Sologne, France. Today he lives and works in Falicon, close to Nice. Between 1953 and 1959 he studied at the Beaux-Arts in Bourges, in Nancy and in Paris.
During his studies, he worked with Marcel Gili, Robert Wogensky, Raymond Legueult. He travelled in Greece, Italy, Spain and Morocco. Between 1963 and 67 he worked as a graphic designer at the group “Printemps” in Paris. From 1968 to 1972 he taught at the Mulhouse Art School and from 1973 to 2001 - at the Nice Art School
