A graduate of Fine Arts in Paris for nearly 5 years, Maya-Inès Touam articulates her work around a certain scenographed female image, sometimes objective and sometimes mystified, in the tradition of certain artists such as Shadi Gadirian, Najia Mehadji, Maïmouna P Guerresi or the dancer Héla Fattoumi.

Maya-Inès Touam has already exhibited her work in the United States, Europe and North Africa, always accompanied by Thomas Echegut. His work has won awards in France and Morocco, and has received support from the CNAP, the Alliance Foundation (Morocco) and the French Institute in Algiers.

Thomas Echegut, photographer also trained by Marc Pataut and Patrick Feigenbaum met Maya-Inès Touam at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, by associating technique and projects, their joint work took a new turn, attempting to link reportage, anthropology and contemporary art.
