Alexandre Ferrand founded in 2019 at the age of 22 the Alexandre Ferrand workshop animated by an artistic spirit and ready to reproduce his thoughts. The environment in which it has evolved is atypical, growing as it permeates cutting-edge industrial processes, and more specifically the metallographic polishing used in aeronautics.

At the same time passionate about art and French know-how, he brings together by creating works of art in Silk his two passions which have always nourished him. Industry and art may seem opposed, however, Alexandre manages to bring them together through the Skates fashioned with Silk that he offers. Its common thread: to live with the times. He invents an original work and know-how to express his passion for technique, craftsmanship, art and materials at the same time.

Each skate is covered with Silk using a unique process. Indeed, evolving in the Lyonnaise region, he has always been fascinated by the ancestral work of Silk and the beauty of this fabric obtained thanks to a complex technique. It was then that he quite naturally produced works that combined high technology, craftsmanship and artistic expression. With a manufacturing secret inspired by an industrial process allowing him to strengthen the Silk to make it manageable, he manages to create a unique piece.
