Biography
Arlette Garceau was born in 1948 in a small village in Roussillon and has always appreciated nature.
Following poor health, in her forties, she stopped her professional activity, which was not very fulfilling, to refocus on herself. She found her artistic inspiration by returning to live in the countryside. “My painting is above all very interior, born from reflection, nourished by my reading, but also very vivid childhood memories and a constant observation of creation as a whole.
When I started about thirty years ago, I exhibited a lot on an individual basis in Céret, Argeles sur Mer, Amélie les Bains and Perpignan.
Painting being a difficult and expensive art, over time I spaced all these exhibitions to refine my work.
I participated several times in the International Exhibition of Plastic Arts in Roussillon (SIAPPE) which was held annually in Perpignan at the Palais des Congrès.
I went to Nice a few times to participate in the annual International Salon "L'Aigle de Nice".
For several years I have been attending the International Exhibition of Plastic Arts in the city of Béziers.
Passionate about pictorial art, I continue to work trying to move forward from day to day.
I now have many canvases grouped by themes of a chosen work, as well as floral arrangements (paintings of dried flowers) and some pastels. "
