Gerlach & Heilig

Kyra Heilig and Lenn Gerlach are two Designers who have been working as a duo for several years. After internships at award-winning studios Formafantasma (Milan) and Hanne Willmann (Berlin), their degree will be exhibited in the industrial design department this summer 2022 at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, Germany. For Kyra and Lenn, the area of tension as well as the dialogue between art and design is incredibly exciting. In order to find unconventional approaches, they work conceptually, experimentally and intuitively. Their curious and naive ways tend to translate the observations of our daily life into objects or products. Being from the Black Forest and currently working in the center of industrial capital Stuttgart, they care a lot about tradition and craftsmanship. One of their goals is to transfer lost/forgotten thoughts with a contemporary approach to today's world.
