Haleh Zahedi's work is part of a line of Iranian artists who have made the color black an inexhaustible subject of research.
The artist uses charcoal in an analytical approach. The drawing advances in a quest for the statement, for the form, and in the breathing of black.
Animals, humans, objects intersect and give rise to sometimes disturbing images.
Haleh Zahedi graduated from the School of Art and Design in Tehran. In 2018, she became a Doctor of Plastic Arts at the University of Strasbourg with a thesis entitled "From Me to Drawing. The plastic expression of madness".
