Presentation

Giacomo Vaccaro was born in Sassetta on 10.26.1953 but soon became Livorno to all intents and purposes.
Already at the age of 6, having been given a box of colors, he began to express his talent by painting his first sketches.
At the age of 7 he won his first prize "La Rosa d'oro", organized by the Municipality of Rosignano Marittimo.
The first technical and human advice comes from the great artist Giovanni March but it is the closeness with the master Ferruccio Mataresi that will leave an indelible mark from an academic point of view.
Painter with a harmonious and pleasant stroke, he tackles any subject presented to him live and in the studio, with bright colors that give all his paintings a great luminosity.
Skilled and rare portrait painter, he manages to give his portraits such a lively expression as to make them unique.
The representations from life of the countryside glimpses are stupendous, the horses grazing, the streams, the old mills, the Livorno marinas, the still lifes; in short, a multifaceted painter who loves to immortalize on canvas everything that comes before his eyes.
Member of the famous "Gruppo Labronico" he has exhibited in various exhibitions in Italy and abroad: Galleria Romiti in Livorno, Galleria Il Portico in Milan, Circolo Artisti Bresciani in Brescia, Circolo Artistico in Venice CAM Idrografica at the Palazzo delle Prigioni in Venice 1997 èl last major exhibition in chronological order which saw dozens of works depicting the harmonious shapes of ships.
His works can be found in important Italian collections (Rome, Milan, Florence, Turin, Palermo, Cagliari) and abroad (London, Brussels, Paris).
