In Mexico, Angella is an experienced artist, who did many solo/group exhibitions.

In 2017, she was given a commission from the State of Querétaro (Mexico) for a Public monumental scultpure called “Responsum".

In 2019, with the exhibition « Viaje del alma » at the art gallery IDA MEDICIS, Angella Holguin crosses boundaries for the first time.

She is a sculptor, with steel and stainless steel as her main media. Also works with wood, metal, clay, paper, bronze, stones, copper, and brass.

She creates organic forms inspired by nature, like sea corals, cells, and leaves. She molds wood into smooth round shapes inspired by water.

Most of her sculptures are asymmetrical, extending upward, enhancing the idea that the space they occupy is not fixed, but goes on portraying the flux of life.

Her first foundry piece was a woman lying in a fetal position symbolizing a new starting point in her life; a rebirth. Her work has evolved from figurative representations into organic abstract forms, becoming the mirror of her deepest cyclical states of being. Reflecting the inner transformations she goes through, her work is her biography.
