Pierre Saunier

My research is nourished by the universe of textiles, which I rubbed shoulders with for a large part of my youth. When I was young, I evolved in an upholsterer's workshop, a universe covered with piles of colorful fabrics with generous patterns with no other rules than the chance of their hazardous positioning by the hand of man.

In my works in painting I realize these persistent impressions which had surrounded me during all these years without being aware of it: all these relations which maintain the paint and the interiors, how the textile was treated, developed for many years and without omitting his contribution to painting
