Biography
Jake finished his Applied Arts studies in 1990.
After many years in which he searched for his own style, he dedicated himself entirely to his painting from 2003.
His generous, colorful and lively approach is very close in its technical, symbolic and spontaneous aspects to the Free Figuration and Street art.
Using Posca and acrylic, his work is expressed on all kinds of media and in a variety of environments: mainly on canvas or recycled objects, in his workshop, but also in public spaces on walls, fences, metal shutters, halls of apartment building and even cars.
Although he has received orders for storefronts in Paris, textile prints and record covers, painting remains his true passion... The artist says: "I don't know how to stop, it is no doubt for this reason that I often paint the frames of my paintings. My work is framed, structured, and it gives birth to a style based on the details and the emotions it stirs ... 14 colors that never never mix, look like a serigraph, no material or very little material, just points of view and textures...?
Although large format canvas is his favorite support, he gladly works on larger formats such as painted walls and/or buildings ...
