Paris, London, Hong Kong, NYC or even Katmandu, nearly a hundred cities have been the playground for the mysterious Invader.

The one whose real name remains anonymous was born in 1969 in Paris. His identity remains secret, adding to the aura of mystery surrounding his art. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he began experimenting with street art in the 1990s. He is famous for his "Invasions," colorful tile mosaics inspired by 1980s video games, notably Space Invaders. His distinctive style is characterized by the use of pixelated motifs, reminiscent of early video game aesthetics. The urban artist often uses materials such as ceramic or tile to create his works, which he installs clandestinely in streets worldwide. He compiles his characters in reference books like a treasure hunt to indicate or find each of his works. In 1999, he made headlines by leaving his mark on the Hollywood sign in California.

Invader has significantly contributed to popularizing street art as legitimate contemporary art. His invasions have been installed in over 60 cities and 5 continents worldwide, leaving his distinctive mark on buildings, walls, and sidewalks, underwater, in the savannah, and even in space. Paris alone boasts over 1000 "space invaders".

Invader's art is often considered a form of reappropriation of urban space, transforming urban environments into public art galleries. The artist describes his work as a meeting between pixels and mosaic, virtual game and reality, screen and architecture, a viral art that takes hold of our visual universe. Day after day, the invasion continues...
