Biography
Born in Saint-Etienne in 1970.
He graduated from the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Lyon in 1993 and then entered the Beaux Arts in Paris in the class of Vladimir Velickovic. He graduated in 1996.
For Jean-Pierre Ruel, it seems that painting no longer has the mission of reflecting the visible forms of the world, it would be invested as a symbolic gesture which would have to seek truths elsewhere. Here we must then confront the same difficulty raised since Plato: how to bring things into view other than appearances, nor to claim any order of the appearance of art.
A sincere artist recognized as one of the greats of his generation.
