Biography

Tristan Wendlinger, self-taught painter, born in 1992. Based in Tarn-et-Garonne, I create and paint my works on a small mezzanine in my garage. Benefiting from my mother's example from a young age, I practiced sculpture, drawing and painting, opening myself to a world that quickly fascinated me.

Subsequently, I discovered new inspirations, new artistic movements, new artists on the networks. These multiple influences built my love for art. So I started my artistic path with figurative art. This gave me a solid foundation in terms of techniques, experiences and creations. However, after a few years I found myself painting with a lack of enthusiasm that was felt in my works.

This is why, following the birth of my son, I decided to change completely. From the figurative artistic movement, I went directly to abstract art. It was a revelation, because this change completely upset my way of considering art and making my works. I transmit new emotions, new feelings and above all I gain a freedom of creation and imagination which is important to me. I learned through my accomplishments and my experiences.

My vision of art and techniques as an autodidact brings me strength and is a major asset to create unique works not formatted by a school curriculum that models art and imagination according to artistic trends. dictated by society. We live with more or less restrictive rules at all times. I dare to imagine that my works, my work, my art allow everyone to have in their possession a painting offering them the possibility of escaping, of being free and of avoiding any constraint the space of a moment.
