Biography
Gigi Lilavois is a painter born in Haiti. She is obliged to flee from Haiti, as an orphan she finds a shelter with her younger sister in New York where she settles and starts painting in the 70's. She keeps working in a theater in order to take care of her family.
Her kitchen becomes her studio where she keeps painting day and night, she paints oils on canvas at her easel, searching at day time the light from the kitchen window of her tiny flat in Soho. She is painting naive Art in a pure haitian manner, but soon with her own style. She moved to Florida where she lives with her family.
