Katty blends academic painting with experimental materials, exploring the boundaries between the physical and spiritual worlds. Her art invites deep reflection on childhood and human experience
Biography
Katty Kot is a metamodern artist who explores the boundaries between the spiritual and material worlds through the lens of psychology and surrealism. Her work focuses on the phenomenon of the human body, the transformation of matter, and the intersection of physical, mental, and ideal realities. Drawing inspiration from Karl Popper's concept of the “three worlds," Katty's art is a philosophical inquiry rooted in academic painting traditions, while constantly experimenting with new materials like silk.
Her multi-layered compositions are defined by rich, vibrant colors, influenced by her unique ability to perceive rare shades due to tetrachromacy. Through her work, Katty aims to evoke emotions, stimulate thought, and invite viewers into a world of hidden meanings and philosophical puzzles.
Katty Kot's works have been exhibited in prestigious venues, including the Louvre in Paris and MORA Museum in New York, and she has been recognized with the Order "Vocation and Talent" by the Eurasian Union of Artists. She continues to innovate within the metamodern paradigm, creating new visual languages that challenge perceptions and encourage deeper exploration of the human experience.
