Biographie
Sven Pfommer est toujours à la une frontière entre la photographie, la peinture et la gravure. Sven donne plus ou moins le dessus à l'un ou l'autre art. Ses œuvres sont souvent des photographies prises lors de ses voyages qu'il combine avec des fragments graphiques et des zones peintes dans son atelier. Sven est né à Berlin, a étudié la communication visuelle à l'Université de Hildesheim et a obtenu la distinction d'un boursier du British Council pour étudier au Royal College of Art de Londres. Tout en travaillant pendant plusieurs années en tant que directeur artistique et photographe, il a également passé les 15 dernières années à se concentrer sur le marché de l'art international. Il a créé sa propre galerie de photographie contemporaine dans la capitale de l'art, Berlin, il y a dix ans. Depuis 7 ans, il enseigne également la photographie, l'art et le design dans différentes universités.
Son travail a été exposé sur 4 continents et publié aux États-Unis, au Canada, aux Pays-Bas et en Allemagne. Le prix Walter Thiemann lui a été décerné en 1996. Il a réalisé des commandes pour l'industrie automobile, l'industrie de la mode, plusieurs projets d'hôtellerie et de cliniques.
