Adrien bitibaly

In 1999, he began self-taught photography. Over the years, he perfected himself by producing event reports for private companies and institutions in Burkina Faso. At the same time, he continues to train by participating in numerous workshops in Burkina Faso and West Africa. This allows him to improve his technical skills and to construct subjects to invest in the different fields of photography.

Since 2010, he has oriented and specializes in documentary photography and tries, through his author's approach, to highlight the singularity of his subjects, beyond appearances. He uses photography as an indirect and sensitive means of expressing his relationship to the world where emotions, sensations and the need to document the transformations and relationships of individuals within society mingle.

Since 2015, he has had a series of exhibitions including his work on “Gold” clandestine mines at the gallery of the French Institute in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, or his work entitled “laterite extractors”, at the Yiri Suma Gallery in Ouagadougou . At the end of 2017, he joined for two years, the international research and creation residency program of the National School of Photography in Arles, thanks to a grant from the French Embassy in Burkina Faso. As part of this residency, he established a fruitful relationship with SNCF Immobilier through his “Absorbed Landscape” project, which gave rise to an exhibition and the publication of a booklet in 300 copies.

In 2018, he was selected to present his work at the National Museum of Burkina Faso during the “Future Africa Vision” exhibition offered by the Goethe Institut. In 2019, he participated in two group exhibitions including: Breach, collective exhibitions of the work of young foreign artists in research and creation residency at the National School of Photography in Arles and “Travaux en cours | Phase three an exhibition of the work of the students of the ENSP Park Project ”.
