Presentation

Born in Nice in 1990. Pol Arago grew up in a family of artists (sculptor, musicians…) and very early on discovered his passion for painting. He regularly attends exhibitions, and remains fascinated by Provence and this complicity between all the Impressionists. The variety of vegetation in the scrubland remains a great pleasure: broom, olive trees, cypress, lavender ... This will reappear very quickly in his “pencil stroke” for all the moving landscapes that he composes. He is inhabited by light, and devotes a particular cult to Cézanne: he often takes the famous Route Cézanne from Tholonet under his last residence Chateau Noir, among the umbrella pines and red earth. For the colors, he has a predilection for red ocher and this pale green peculiar to the foliage of the olive tree. On taupe, icy brown or natural Sienna backgrounds, he applies himself to retracing the Provençal atmosphere, crushed by the heat or, on the contrary, rocked by the mistral. He has won the loyalty of a clientele sensitive to its soft and luminous tones and to the small and authentic hilltop villages. His talent has crossed borders and his energy and passion remain very promising.
