Andrey Antonov

Andrey Antonov (1944-2011) - sculptor, graphic artist, painter, native of Sverdlovsk, honored artist of Russia (2002), member of the Union of artists of the USSR and Russia (1975), winner of the Governor's award (2009) and award them. G. S. Mosina (1997). In 1964 he graduated from Sverdlovsk art College, since 1971 — a participant of domestic and foreign exhibitions. In 1973 he graduated from the Moscow higher art and industrial school (former Stroganov). The artist's works are in museums and private collections in Russia, Austria, Germany, Israel, Cyprus, the United States, France, the Czech Republic.

Author of numerous monumental works in Russia and abroad. In Yekaterinburg executed the reliefs of the Sverdlovsk circus together with G. S. Meteleva (1979), the sculptural composition "the Muse of cinema" at the House of cinema (1984), the monument to D. N. Mamin-Sibiryak (1985), sculptural composition "Summer" (1987), 11 plaques academics of the city, Tatischev and de busts of the gennine, as well as portraits of the 12 chapters of Yekaterinburg for the building of the city Administration (1995-1998), relief for Sverdlovsk academic theatre of musical Comedy (2002), portraits of the Urals conductors, the creators of the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic — M.
