Compositions avec personnage de fiction
La création de compositions avec des personnages fictifs est un formidable moyen d'expression pour l'artiste. En offrant au spectateur une ouverture sur son monde intérieur, l'artiste invite son public à dialoguer avec son imagination. Cette tendance artistique relativement récente permet d'intriguer le spectateur et de le pousser à s'interroger sur ce qu'il se passe vraiment dans l'image. Pour faciliter la compréhension de l'œuvre, malgré la présence de personnages fictifs, le sujet est généralement familier. Qu'ils s'inspirent de héros de bandes dessinées, de jouets d'enfance ou d'images de films d'animation, des artistes comme K-Arty créent un carrefour entre deux mondes : l'art et l'imagination. L'artiste aime jouer avec les décalages pour surprendre, par exemple en plaçant la célèbre Jessica Rabbit dans des lieux abandonnés, mêlant humour et dérision. Les œuvres de Catherine Théry rendent hommage à la plus connue des poupées, Barbie, pour la faire traverser l'histoire de l'art. Photographiée puis retouchée grâce à des techniques numériques, Catherine Théry fait de la poupée Barbie une femme forte et intelligente, qui emprunte parfois des codes masculins, tout en affirmant sa féminité, en toute liberté. À l'opposé, Clotilde MJ ne modifie pas ses images mais photographie les scènes en direct. Le fil conducteur de notre sélection ? Dans chacune de ces œuvres, la fiction (qu'elle prenne des traits familiers ou non) est modelée au gré des envies des artistes, qui dévoilent leur univers et élargissent le nôtre…
