Peinture Conceptuelle
L'art conceptuel apparaît dans les années 1960, prônant l'idée plutôt que la chose. L'idée, le concept, est plus important que ce qui est représenté. Prenons les oeuvres d'Aranthell, elle choisit de représenter des barquettes de viande ou des tubes de produits cosmétiques, pharmaceutiques mais au-delà de ces produits de la vie quotidienne, elle dépeint la société de consommation.
La peinture conceptuelle trouve ses origines dans les ready-made de Marcel Duchamp, repris par les artistes pop (Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein) notamment.
