Personnages oniriques
Imaginez ce sentiment de libération que l'on peut ressentir en dépeignant un monde qui n'existe pas, en exposant ces petits aspects de la vie, trop souvent oubliés ou négligés… Rêver, c'est échapper à la réalité - et si vous pouviez recréer cette échappatoire ? D'une certaine manière, les artistes qui ont pioché dans leurs rêves, leurs visions et même leurs cauchemars et qui ont osé les raconter dans leurs œuvres, possèdent la capacité de représenter l'évasion. De la représentation du monde onirique par Pablo Picasso à celle des rêves de Marc Chagall, le rêve dans l'art n'est pas un concept moderne. De telles explorations révèlent à la fois le fantastique et l'obscurité, le divin et le prophétique, tout en tentant de recréer l'indescriptible. Ce qui ne peut être décrit peut être trop douloureux à dépeindre, et c'est ainsi que la beauté de l'évasion a été transmise par des artistes comme Chagall dans Le Rêve (1939), alors qu'il vivait le début de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Peindre une couleur qui n'existe que dans votre esprit, qu'elle représente l'optimisme, la nostalgie ou même le doute, n'est pas une mince affaire.
