Seize the beauty of the world, its mystery, its evanescence without allowing oneself to be confined by the diktats of ready-to-think and ready-to-paint schools, to vibrate with a life that is never exhausted. I have always liked to travel freely, between the visible and the invisible, to explore other lands. Oil painting before, dry pastels for the finesse of their grain and the fluidity of inks today, are the best companions on my artistic journey to translate the variations of water, sky, a creature, even a dream. Music – which I listen to when I paint -, poetry, thought and dance punctuate my painting in this journey towards the unfathomable sonata of life. To walk towards the difference to reach the knowledge of oneself like of the others… while not being afraid to question, to confuse, I take several crossroads. Like a poem in image, my pastels offer a point of vision of the breath of life that inhabits us, a consent to what is, - even in the tiniest of existence - that I translate not only by the image created ( often inspired by nature) as much as by the very use of what is technically the most fleeting: pastel powder.
In my paintings, I "fix" literally and figuratively, the moment of a fragile vision of the thing or of existence.
“Breath for breath”.
