Biography
Nobody, born in 1989, is a French street artist whose career began in Brussels. Armed with a spray can, he created his first lettering on the fences of the city's cultural venues. His energy quickly shifted to an art of words and symbols, which he extended to European subways. This almost visceral need to paint became an outlet for him: a way to express his vision of the world while revealing its contradictions.
Influenced by graffiti and the Lowbrow movement, Nobody draws a rich visual vocabulary from popular culture. His compositions assemble icons, logos, and imaginary figures, ironically repurposed to reveal the flaws of our contemporary society. Behind the image always lies a social message: a critique of modern illusions, the cult of celebrity, and triumphant consumerism.
Nobody is "nobody," but he embodies everyone. With this paradoxical name, he makes graffiti a mirror of our times—an art that is both provocative and lucid, where humor becomes an act of resistance.
In his works, balloons emerge like bursts of poetry, carrying a saving lightness amidst the visual chaos. This dreamlike touch opens the way to a reflection on the pretenses, norms, and fragilities of our Western identity. Between revolt and hope, Nobody invents a language where dreams become a form of critique.
