Vincent Carpentier

After working as a commercial engineer from 1987 to 1992, notably in Egypt, and then as a middle school math teacher for thirty years, I am now dedicating myself to the plastic/visual work that I have been pursuing in parallel, in the background, for several years.

Photography, especially "street photography," is at the source of this work. The human element was central to this photographic work, just as it was in my teaching career.

For several years, alongside and feeding off this photographic work, I have gradually developed a plastic/visual practice, influenced by urban art, where painting and collages, particularly of poster fragments, are taking an increasing role.
