Presentation

Shanon Bee was born in 1968 in France.

Free and singular, this is how this artist defines herself, who offers the public works in this image.

After working with Indian ink in the first part of her artistic career, alongside a career in communications, she naturally turned to acrylic painting in 2012 to express her style.

His creative and pictorial freedom is directly inspired by his numerous international travels, from the hot and humid atmospheres of Bali to the aridity of the Grand Canyon, from the cold atmospheres of Scotland to the turquoise blues of Reunion Island. Each place is unique and displays colors and tones with various values and intensities, lights and shadows, which have a direct resonance on one's mind.

Inspired by Kandinsky in his philosophy of abstraction, she works to implement it in the creation of her paintings:

“Painting must make its own revolution, learn to use its own means, as music has done for a long time. The painting must become abstract. The sensory effect of color is short-lived. What matters is the spiritual resonance, the direct action of color on the soul. »

Thus, equipped with her brushes, knives, sponges, the painter plays with the effects of material, light, uses warm and very dense colors, deep contrasts, dynamic compositions which seem to extend beyond the Web.

Music is essential to his inspiration and develops his intuition, his spontaneity in the execution of his paintings and gives each work its own rhythm, the alternation of elements of excitement and elements of relaxation.

An abstract work is always an adventure that it ultimately shares with its audience. The artist transmits emotions that our language is not capable of expressing to “project light into the depths of the human heart. » (Robert Schumann)
