Gros plans abstraits
Qu'il s'agisse de plonger dans une série d'études ou d'élargir le champ de vision, le gros plan abstrait (ou, dans certains cas, la macrophotographie) rappelle au spectateur qu'une perspective différente ne se trouve pas toujours au-delà du cadre. Les microscopes soutiennent l'objectif depuis plus de 100 ans : c'est Frank Percy Smith qui a créé en 1909 l'un des premiers films, To Demonstrate How Spiders Fly, en zoomant sur une minuscule araignée pour révéler un nouveau monde immense. Qu'advient-il des motifs, des figures, du sujet ou des formes géométriques lorsque la perspective du point de vue de l'observateur a changé ? Pourquoi photographier une fleur et sans zoomer pour capturer également le pollen ? Ce regard contrôlé est fermement entre les mains de l'artiste, qui renonce souvent au réalisme ou à la reconnaissance du sujet. En retour, une toute nouvelle composition est trouvée, cachée dans un cadre plus large. Dans la sélection d'œuvres d'Artsper, les artistes Collective et Vianca Reinig se concentrent justement sur ce point, en étudiant les nombreuses possibilités d'interaction entre les couleurs et les motifs. Le gros plan permet à Reinig d'ajouter un ensemble différent d'émotions, d'humeurs et de profondeur à l'environnement nouvellement formé du gros plan. Cette conversion de l'observation d'objets tridimensionnels en photographies bidimensionnelles crée des illusions optiques de vibration et de mouvement et occupe une place importante dans l'histoire de l'art abstrait.
