Pierre Joubert

Born in Saint Nazaire in 1965, Pierre Joubert lives and works in Vigneux de Bretagne in Loire Atlantique. He has devoted himself exclusively to painting since 1997, after having practiced advertising graphic arts in Paris, New York, and Nantes.
A visual and emotional painter, he draws his inspiration from nature, a field he constantly seeks out. Brittany, which remains his favorite terrain and his artistic roots, offers him a luminous and mysterious space to express his creative medium.
His painting can be described as contemporary figurative because it is not fixed in an objective representation. He draws our attention to his unique vision of the world through an opulent and rich material, which becomes transparent in places. A craftsman of large recomposed spaces but also of intimacy, his canvases offer us luminous worlds where serenity and plenitude reign.
