N'goni Mashaya is a renowned artist of the Zimbabwean sculptors' movement. For 60 years, this movement has been considered a cornerstone of contemporary art. Currently, several Zimbabwean artists are among the most acclaimed sculptors in the world. Better known since its origins as Shona art, this art intrigues and captivates with the modernity of its works. It is African art, yet contemporary, spontaneous art without reference to ancestral tradition.
