Biography
An emerging artist based in Lyon and originally from Paray-le-Monial, Yami grew up surrounded by drawing and painting. After earning a Master's degree in Art Direction, he quickly turned to creating album covers and modern illustrations, always seeking to develop new visual languages. At the heart of his artistic approach is love, with all its complexity. Yami explores its contradictions through "little demons" who personify fears, doubts, and emotional excesses. His works are outlets, where he seeks to evacuate inner tensions. These demons, both tormented and tender, connect the intimate to the universal, revealing emotional nuances through vivid colors, clean lines, and dynamic compositions. Yami constantly pushes the boundaries of contemporary illustration, developing a unique style influenced by urban art and classical techniques. His works, imbued with a desire for innovation, are distinguished by their dynamism and their ability to tell stories. His art, both introspective and expressive, achieves a subtle balance between shadow and light, love and chaos.
