Arson, an atypical artist with iconoclastic work, but always disruptive, transgressive and protesting or rebellious, which gives meaning to his work.

Biography

Born in Paris in 1953, descended from a family from Nice, Arson is a libertarian and transgressive artist. Trained at the Beaux-Arts from the age of 16, he explored painting, architecture, pottery, and sculpture before forging a unique signature, marked by a bold sensuality.

A lover of women, whom he sees as a path to the absolute, Arson celebrates their forms with a fetishistic and poetic gaze. His works, inspired by Duchamp's Dadaism and Magritte's Surrealism, invite us to go beyond appearances. As he says of his Esculmau: "This is not a mirror, nor an ass, it is an Esculmau."

Provocative and anarchist, Arson sculpts raw and decorative pieces that defy taboos and unleash the imagination. His creations, driven by a passion for materials and a reflection on femininity, disrupt the codes of an overly consensual world. In his work, form reveals substance, offering a visual poetry that shakes and amazes.
