Presentation
Self-taught born in 1960, with a solid experience as a draftsman, with influences from comic strips, it was in 2010 that Teddy Garde embarked on a career as a professional artist while keeping a foothold in corporate communication through design creation and Motion Design.
Based in Normandy, in France, he participates in numerous personal and collective exhibitions, he obtains several prizes in France and abroad: Salon de Rouen, Galerie BIJ KREPEL (Netherlands), International Art Meeting in Pescia (Italy) in 2010, selected several times at the Salon des artistes Français at the Grand Palais in Paris, European Salon in Bruges, in Cantanhede in Portugal, Katy Sroussy Gallery in Paris, Art Espace Gallery in Nantes, permanent exhibition for several years at Gallery 13 in Honfleur, Art Up exhibition in Rouen 2016 and several personal exhibitions from 2022 to 2023 from Normandy to Brittany.
His artistic approach accompanies a questioning of the reality of our world, such as global warming, life, death and ultimately these are the existential questions that we all share. The artist has fun as a lucid observer of the evolution of our modern society, which does not prevent him from playing with symbols, winks or small details that are revealed over time. There is no doubt that his works will act over the years as uncompromising markers of our time.
If he were to pursue a quest, it would undoubtedly be to find the famous missing piece of the puzzle of life, this is an infinite task that leads him to take you into his dreamlike universe. Regardless of the technique, pencils, watercolor, oil or digital, as long as the trip is there!
