The Great Masters in Colors

Paris From 8 October to 12 November 2017

The Galerie Duret welcomes you this October 2017 for Virginia Benedicto’s first solo exhibition in Paris “The great masters in colours”. The Spanish artist renews with joy and vitality the famous art history’s classics adding her feminine and colourful touch. Her wish is to pay tribute to the great artists who inspired her since her young age and helped her build her own style.

Thus Virginia Benedicto proposes you to rediscover inevitable paintings such as Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa or Velasquez’s Meninas. The artist gave life to these classics injecting them a new youth, intense and sparkling, such as Guernica which became a wide scene of sweetness. Her admiration for the great masters had always animated Virginia, at the age of 15 she already tried to reproduce Fernand Léger’s paintings. This exhibition is for the artist the achievement of her work, which is built between creativity and constant tribute.

Two steps from the Louvre and it mythic painters the exhibition “The great masters in colours” is the perfect occasion to rediscover your classics with joy.
