Presentation

Michel Gribinskiwas born in 1942 in Cannes, France. He is a physician and a member of the French Psychoanalysis Association. He coordinated the "Connaissance de l’inconscient" (Knowing the unconscious) et "Le principe de plaisir" (The pleasure principle) at the Gallimard publishing house. He is also an author of essays and the co-author of the book "Où est le passé" (Where is the past) with Pierre Bergounioux.

Michel Gribinski paints since he was 14. He paints abstract works, he is self-taught and learned from his visits at the Galerie Colette Allendy, and by copying Léon Zack, then Wols, Kandinsky and other painters. He found his own style and started painting on smooth, horizontal surfaces with pigments and powders and various liquid mediums. He stopped painting in 1972 and started again in 2014, when he completed several large-format watercolor paintings.
