50 tints of red - jubileum exhibition

Voorschoten From 31 August to 29 September 2019

Presentation
With the exhibition "50 Shades of Red", the Vlietstreek Art Society is celebrating its 10th anniversary. To create more unity in the variety of artistic expressions, it was decided to use the RED shade in all objects. The color red also stands for 'energy' and that is not lacking at the Kunstgenootschap Vlietstreek (KGV). In this exhibition you can find paintings, photos, glass objects, jewelry, ceramics and sculptures.

We have highlighted a few sculptors and painters that we loved to see.

In 2009 some artists from Voorschoten and the surrounding area decided to set up an association. They needed mutual contact, inspiration and more exhibition possibilities. When it was set up, it was paramount that all visual artists are welcome, so no ballotage. Another starting point was that all forms of visual art could find shelter in the association. The KGV was established in Voorschoten and was open to artists from all over the Vlietstreek.

The KGV is a social and cultural network for all artists from the region and we at the Gallery have had a fruitful partnership with this network.
Monique Leliefeld and Gemma Jonker, two artist from Gallery Sorelle Sciarone have been planning this exhibition for over a year and are part of KGV. Denise van der Burgh is another artist that is in our gallery that also has a painting hanging here for the exhibition. We have included three of their network contemporaries on our artist roster. Margherita van der Linden, Willy van der Smam and Margherita van Vuren.

The opening is 31 august 2019 between 16:00 and 18:00 at Museum Voorschoten (Voorstraat 17, 2251 BL
Voorschoten).

If you go to the museum special rates apply for the art work as this exhibtion is artist initaited.
