Anri Sala

Born in 1974 - Albania

Born in 1974 in Tirana, Anri Sala lives and works in Berlin.

Anri Sala creates works combining image, sound and architecture, presented in exhibitions he designs as veritable artworks. In his projects, he tries to create a connection between the pieces that are exhibited, to indicate a path to the viewer and to create a space, both physical and audible by giving shape to sounds.

His work has been presented in numerous monographic exhibitions. He is represented by galerie Chantal Crousel in Paris, Marian Goodman gallery in New York, Hauser & Wirth in London and Zurich, Kurimanzutto in Mexico City and the Johnen gallery in Berlin.

In 2013, he represented France at the Venice Biennale.
