Constanza Piaggio

Born in 1982 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Lives and works in Paris. She graduated from the School of Creative Photography (EFC) and the Union of the Argentine Cinematographic Industry (SICA). His first works were quickly exhibited in galleries, museums and international fairs. Since the start of her career, she has exhibited in many countries: Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, United States, Spain, France, Sweden, South Korea and China. Constanza Piaggio is also the laureate of several prizes and residencies such as the first Argentinian Visual Arts Prize from the OSDE Foundation (2005), the Visual Arts scholarship from the Rojas / UBA Cultural Center (2005) and the "Intercampos II" scholarship. the Telefónica Foundation (2006). She participated in the Appelboom La Pommerie Residence in France (2009) and in the Gyeonggi Creation Center Residence in South Korea (2011). His works are part of public collections. CP favors photography and video as experimental media. She develops her projects from a conceptual research which is then expressed by the production of works in series. CP's work is imbued with pictorial references and is characterized by its singular connection with the intimate. The images it generates offer a reflection on its own environment and its multiple nuances, from a point of view that is sometimes self-referential. This practice takes shape in a subtle balance between all these components and daily borrowings expressed with great technical precision.
