Jack Vanarsky, born in 1936 in Patagonia (Argentina) and died on February 15, 2009, is a sculptor and author of collages. Jack Vanarsky studied architecture at the University of Buenos Aires before moving to Paris in 1962. He produced “lamellised” works (Pacha-Mama, marble sculpture, in Ivry-sur-Seine, 1988) and, sometimes lively. He is the author of the Livremonde for the French pavilion at the Universal Exhibition in Seville (1992). The work has been exhibited since 2007 at the Espace des Sciences in Rennes. Member of the Oupeinpo, he was regent of the College of 'Pataphysics. In 1995, a retrospective exhibition was dedicated to him by the Maison d'Amérique Latine in Paris.
