Pauline Napangardi Gallagher

Pauline Napangardi Gallagher was born in 1952 in Australia. An aboriginal artist, she started painting in 2006. She depicts her father's stories, stories of dreams anchored in Aboriginal oral traditions which had been passed on for centuries. These stories are intimately connected to the earth, a sacred value of the painter's community. Pauline Napangardi Gallagher creates intimately spiritual works in an Aboriginal pictorial tradition, while giving it her own interpretation, modern and colorful one.
