Juliette Nampijinpa was born in 1971 in Alice Springs. She lives in the community of Yuendume situated 290 kilometers from Alice Spring in the Northern Australian territories.

Juliette comes from a family of renowned artists. Her mother, Wendy Nungarrayi Brown and her grandparents, Bessie Nakamarra Sims (1932-2012) and Paddy Japaljarri Sims (1916-2010), are all nationally and internationally renowned artist, who painted with Walukurlangu artists.

Since 2008, Juliette Nampijinpa Brown paints at the Warlukurlangu Aboriginal Artists Corporation, an art center located in Yuendumu. She paints the stories of her grandfather, Ngapa Jukurrpa (Water Dream) and Pamapardu Jukurrpa (Dreaming of a Flying Ant), stories directly related to her land, its flora and fauna. She uses an unlimited color palette with traditional tones and designs that date back to thousands of years, depicting the whole tradition of Jukurrpa.
