Arkeria Rose Armstrong

Born in: 1988

Arkeria Rose Armstrong was born in a little city in the South of Australia, called Caduna in 1988. She lives in Bendigo today. She quickly developed a passion for art, drawing. The artist teaches at University and shares her knowledge passionately.

Women are closely related to the stories she depicts in her works. Her inner feelings guides her strokes. Her grandmother, who shares her name is part of her paintings, to make up for the pain she felt when her grandmother died. Her grandfather, Don Briggs holds an important place in her work, he was her mentor, he awakens and calls upon her artistic talent. She also draws inspiration through the natural and picturesque places in Australia.

She mixes feelings by intertwining strokes, lines and superimposed points. Acrylic painting allows her to use a variety of colors which symbolize her country and knowledge. Her Aboriginal art is highlighted with finesse and fastidiousness. She considers art to be a vector of buried emotions and a means of healing as she creates a link between the past and the present.

The artist does exhibitions very often, and has gained popularity in the Australian contemporary art market.
