Annemarie Ambrosoli

Annemarie Ambrosoli was born on 22.4.1954 in Steinhaus/Aurina Valley – South Tyrol (Italy).

Annemarie Ambrosoli was lucky to be tutored, from early age, by her uncle Ercole Frigoli, a landscape artist, who taught her oil painting and insteled in her a love for nature.

In 1992/1996 at the Summer Academy of Art in Bruneck – South Tyrol (Italy) she attended classes by Claus Pack for “landscape" section and Reinhard Adlmannseder for “portrait and nude" section.

She painted for a long time landscapes “en plein air".

This results in artworks that revolve around trees as a highly important theme. Particularly inspiring for Annemarie Ambrosoli is the cold season where trees show their branches, gestures and movements.

Another theme of great importance to the artist were the “ensembles". In these artworks, she aims at expressing her emotions referring the landscape by joyful color schemes, rather than just depicting objects in a realistic way.

In 2016 she started a new series of artworks. She is an artist who has been able to develop her creativity concretely. She entered her fantasy world.

The kind of artwork that Annemarie Ambrosoli is showing at artfairs is her new idea of representing figures with a rounded profile, noses and open mouths, mouth as expression, stylizing and adorning them with original hats, hairstyles and earrings. Her design can be applied in different contexts. Annemarie Ambrosoli paints original stylized characters reminiscent of daily life moments in a composition of lines, curves, circles, triangles, squares and rectangles and in every work is enclosed a story.

The result of her design is an aesthetic that appears immediately recognizable, original, serene and joyful.

The originality of her work has been awarded this year, on 28th June 2019, by the A' Design Award & Competition at Teatro Sociale in Como (Italy) in the category of arts, crafts and ready-made design.

She was also awarded in Dubai the World Art Dubai nomination in the international artist category and at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome (Italy) she received the Career Award.

In addition, in Monte Carlo she was awarded the Gala de l'Art coming second place.

She has a consolidated artistic career. She exhibits internationally and her works belong to private collections.

Several art critics wrote about her artworks. Annemarie Ambrosoli is listed in various art catalogues and publications and results of auctions.
